Just some pics

Life has been a bit busy around here lately. Here's a few pics I found on the camera:

Maybe we should start lessons early?

Surprised to find this when checking on her at naptime!

Noah's favorite stool. He loves to see outside.

Happy Father's Day

It's been a joy to see you as a dad. You do a great job and our kids are blessed to call you daddy. We love you! Because of you:

We get to be silly

We know what a sauna is

We get to build snow forts

We go to the State Fair and get corn dogs, and mini donuts, and ice cream, and funnel cakes, and...

We have bonfires in the backyard

We know how to tie a tie

We play with our food

We are both allowed in the crib

We get really excited about Christmas

We stay at Disney World until it closes even though it's freezing

We play in the ocean for the first time

We are always shown so much love!

And to my dad:
Thanks for all that you have taught me about life. Thanks for making every minute together an opportunity for learning (yes, even the long lectures.) Thanks for the sacrifices you've made and still make. Thanks for making me try new things. Thanks for taking time to do fun things. Thanks for being protective. Thanks for making family a priority. I am so thankful for you!

Another birthday

My baby turned one this week! The year went so fast yet we can't remember our life before smiley Noah Reid joined us. He is such a happy little guy and has a smile for everyone. We think he will be walking soon but he's still a bit wobbly. He loves to climb though so I have to keep my eye on him at all times! Noah is a very picky eater and we are struggling with getting him to try different foods. I think he takes after his daddy but I hope his appetite soon improves as he was barely on the chart at his twelve month check-up. We love our little boy and hope as he continues to grow that he keeps his charming personality and cheerful disposition.

We had a combo birthday party last weekend at our house. Both sides of the family were here to grill out and eat birthday cake. Emma loved every minute of it. The next day she said to me, "Well mommy, my party is over but I still have some cake and all of my presents." Caleb and Katy even surprised us and showed up at the party! It was great just hanging out with everyone and celebrating our two blessings. We are grateful to the Lord for them both and thankful that they have so much family who shower them with love!

The birthday boy one year later!

My friend Cheri came and help me decorate the cakes. Couldn't have done it without her!

Emma's Rapunzel cake. A success after baking three cakes!
