Last week

Last week ended with a trip to Cambridge for Annie's wedding. Unfortunately our camera battery died and the charger was at home. So we only have a few pictures from our first night at the Mall of America. The wedding was beautiful and it was fun seeing all of the extended family.

Other than that, it's been life as usual keeping up trying to keep up with work, the house, the kids, and everything else. Getting bigger by the day and counting down the weeks until we become a family of five..I'm a bit nervous. Oh well, ready or not the third trimester is almost here...

Noah's favorite book

I think we've already read it 50 times!

Emma wanted to sell lemonade and fruit snacks...

She ended up trying to sell some of her school fundraiser products.

She did this all on her own and actually waved people down. We may have an entrepenuer on our hands...

Noah loves to help mix things. If you have a mixer at your house, he will be sure to find it.

Pumpkin muffins...yummy.

A trip to the Mall of America on our way to Annie's wedding.

Noah loved the car ride but it wasn't Emma's favorite.

The train was a hit!

September

September is already halfway over and I'm finally posting again! Always waiting for life to slow down and it never does.

Emma started kindergarten and is doing well. She had a rough start for the first couple of weeks when getting dropped off but is a trooper now. She really enjoys art, music, computer, and playing with her friends at recess. Noah and I joined her for lunch this past week and got to meet her classmates. A couple nights ago, she gave lessons at the supper table. "Observe the two forks. Which one is taller? Which one is shorter? Noah, what sound does A make?" I think Noah has a new teacher.

I have been enjoying some one-on-one time with Noah. We've been to a Tiny Tots music class, storytime, and the park. He likes riding in the wagon each afternoon to pick up Emma from school. It's been fun watching him be more independent without his sister to tell him what to do. He also loves to help me in the kitchen especially with baking. Ethan got a haircut the other night and asked Noah if he wanted one. His response was, "I too tired." He hates haircuts and avoids them at all cost. I guess he's found a new excuse.

We are still plugging away at our kitchen project and are finishing the backsplash this weekend. Ethan did a great job with the tile and I'm excited to see the finished look. I made my project list of tasks to be finished before the baby comes. Next up is painting the shutters and putting them up.  Hoping to tackle most of my list soon before I get much bigger :)

We will be heading North next weekend for Ethan's cousin Annie's wedding. It will be a fun long weekend with family and we are excited! Maybe we will have time on the road to discuss a name for this little guy before he arrives...Emma's choice is Peter (like Peter Pan.) Hmmm...think we'll keep working on it...

First day of school

Kiss goodbye

This is what happens when you have a big sister. Emma thought he looked "fabulous" but Ethan didn't agree. Good thing you have a brother on the way Noah!
